Summary

The general flow of the AcuWorkOrder application in this ERP for Lite Manufacturing from IIG is as follows:

Enter the kit assembly/specifications for the finished good eg. the candy can coil, to be produced

The kit specifications ​have all the stock items (materials) and non stock items that are needed to produce the kit.

Create the routing for this kit/finished good.​

The routing has all the production/assembly steps that are needed to produce this kit/finished good​

Each routing steps also identifies which stock items (materials) and/or non stock items are needed in that step

Enter a sales order for the kit/finished good

Calculate the quantity of the kit/finished good that still needs to be manufactured after considering the stock on hand, the planned Purchase Order receipts and the already planned shipments of that finished good to other customers

Once the needed production quantity is calculated, create a work order for the kit/finished good.

Activate the first routing step.

The activation of the first routing step will move materials from the warehouse to the shop floor, and/or release stock items as specified in this routing step​

Activate the next routing step. Do this till for all routing steps till they are completed.​

Check the usage of the machines and labor used in the routing steps, and maybe reschedule their start date and time in the scheduling board.

Enter the kit assembly/specifications for the finished good

The finished good looks a follows:

The kit specifications specify the needed stock items (materials) and non stock (labor) items needed to assemble the candy cane coil.
The group id eg. A groups the materials that will be needed in the routing step that has this group id.
Create the routing for this kit/finished good.​

The routing has all the production/assembly steps that are needed to produce this kit/finished good​

Each routing steps also identifies which stock items (materials) and/or non stock items are needed in that step
​Enter a sales order for the kit/finished good
Calculate the quantity of the kit/finished good that still needs to be manufactured

It considers the stock on hand, the planned Purchase Order receipts and the already planned shipments of that finished good to other customers
Once the needed production quantity is calculated, create a work order for the kit/finished good.
Activate the first routing step.

The activation of the first routing step will move materials from the warehouse to the shop floor, and/or release stock items as specified in this routing step​
Activate the second routing step.

The activation of the second routing step will move labor items to the shop floor, and/or release non-stock (labor) items as specified in this routing step​
Capture the actual material and labor spent

The machine operator can enter the actual quantity of materials used and the actual labor spent. SInce the 2nd routing step (dispatch # 2) has only labor, you can see only labor spent in the screen below
Check the usage of the machines and labor used in the routing steps, and maybe reschedule their start date and time in the scheduling board.
