The new Acumatica ERP features in the 2022R1 version address mainly the following feature categories:

The Acumatica 2022R1 features will be demonstrated during the Acumatica 2022 Summit on January 24 and 25. If you can not attend the summit you will be able to see some of them during the live streamed summit sessions. You can register for those sessions at: https://summit.acumatica.com/

The Acumatica ERP Foundation: CRM

  • CRM Events Invitations

​

When you want to invite some employees, specific customer contacts and specific vendor contacts to a meeting (face to face or virtual), you can create an event with a specific date, time and location (physical or virtual), and select your specific employees, customer contacts and vendor contacts. Such an event will email an invite to those employees and contacts. The email will ask the recipient to accept or decline attendance. If the location is a virtual meeting (video call, web conference), the email body will contain a link to the webpage where the recipient can register for the virtual meeting. Once registered for the virtual meeting, he/she will receive an email with the personalized link to the virtual meeting (video call,..) . The advantage of such an Acumatica CRM invitation is that the event information and email will be recorded in the Acumatica CRM activity of each employee and outside contact. The sender can even make the event time a billable activity.

Why not just using MS Teams to invite people to an event especially a video call? When using MS Teams the email invite will not be recorded in the Acumatica CRM activity of the employee and outside contact. The event will be recorded in the Acumatica CRM activity. (Sorry, if you have MS Exchange sync enabled, the email invite may be recorded in the Acumatica CRM Activity. Need to check this out,).

If you want to invite all customer contacts of a particular market segment (eg. all food manufacturers) to a meeting, you will use the Acumatica CRM email marketing campaign feature. You will send a mass email to a marketing list for that market segment, and also use Sendgrid to check on the bouncing of emails. In the email body, you will enter a link to the webpage where the recipient can register for the virtual meeting. Once registered for the virtual meeting, he/she will receive an email with the personalized link to the virtual meeting (video call,..).  Only the outgoing email will be stored in the Acumatica CRM activity of the recipients. If the event web registration page is properly set up, the acceptance or decline will also be stored in the Acumatica CRM activity as part of the outgoing email to the attendees with the personalized link to the virtual meeting.
