2020 R2 contains several improvements and new features. A list of highlights is provided below.

Usability:

Save time and reduce expenses by automatically creating AP documents from vendor bills
-
Accounts Payable (vendor bills) are scanned. Via Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and AI/Natural Language processing, those scanned vendor bills create automatically vendor bills in the Acumatica ERP. When a vendor bill is emailed by a vendor, you avoid the scanning step. Only the OCR and Natural Language processing step is needed to create automatically the vendor bill in the Acumatica ERP.

Enormous benefit: you don't have to enter manually anymore the vendor bill information into your ERP. The manual entry of all those vendor bills was a tedious chore before. EDI is only done by some companies. B2B Ecommerce vendor bills still had to be manually entered in the ERP. Now all that is done automatically.

Save time and reduce expenses by automatically creating expense receipts from receipts captured via your mobile camera application.

You have for instance a travel expense (hotel,..) receipt that you want to charge to your company. You open your Acumatica mobile app., you go to expenses, and take a picture of your travel expense receipt. The mobile app will process it, and automatically create an expense receipt in the Acumatica ERP.

Benefit: no manual entry of expense receipts. You can submit your receipt immediately upon receiving it.

A business event such as Customer reached it's credit limit, can be created for a Sales Order. Such a business event can trigger a notification (email, SMS text message,..) to a customer services rep. to call the customer to pay up first outstanding invoices.

Improved import scenarios. When a record is not imported, the field in that record is flagged that created the problem. Multi threaded processing can be enabled when you have to import thousands of records.
